Song Of The Siren

she moves gradually... constant as a stream

colours the seadust in nine thousand shades of green

and says... “i will show you where to go...

down to where the seaweed grows

and the plants of the sea move like hair

on the rocks that are bonelike and breathe”

seaweed has a way of seeing through the night

of growing towards the light

and here in Atlantis... everything happens twice

she says “don’t try to fight it... the song of the siren

is keeping you here with me”

i feel so afraid... i’m from another place

“there’s no fear in atlantis... your secret is safe with me...

just go back to sleep... this all has been a dream

you’re here in Atlantis watching the sun set beneath the mighty sea”

sirens love to sing... she sings songs to me

notes that have flavour... sounds that turn water to steam

horizons to be seen... her eyes on mystery

the moon on the water sends lightbeams in all degrees

ceaseless energy... synergy... we’re talking to the sea...

and she’s talking back to me

a thought caught sight of me... and dove into the deep...

we chased it to the place where only fear escapes

a creature changing shape... beautiful in the way that she behaves

to move in every way... echoing in shades

when sunlight hits the skin... the water pulls us in

sirens love to sing... she sings songs to me

notes that have flavour... sounds that turn water to steam

she says “don’t try to fight it... the song of the siren

is keeping you here with me”

and dove into the deep... with me
